I was lucky enough to have last weekend off work so headed down to Sydney to the Quilt Show with Maree and Lyn. It was an early morning wake up call (4am) on Friday as I had to pick Maree and then Lyn up and be at Gold Coast Airport at 6am to catch the 7am plane to Sydney.
I was really excited as I have never been to the Sydney Quilt Show. I wasn't dissappointed, it was a great couple of days with lots to see and do. The quilts were amazing. I also met up with some blogging friends at Chookyblue's blog met on Friday.
We went out on Friday night to dinner. It was a surprise to see Lynda from Brisbane. We only live about an hour away from each other but have to go to Nundle and now Sydney to see each other. I will get up to Brisbane later in the year to go shopping with you Lynda, I do promise.
This is my new Teddy Bear that I bought when we went to Tweed Heads last month. There was a whole collection of them in the Gift Shop and I had a hard time deciding which one to buy. In the end I just had to have her.
Her name is Monique and she was made by Settler Bears. I just love her dress, shawl and the gorgeous pin on her shawl.
I am a 110 year old mad quilter who lives in SE Qld, Australia. I love Reproduction Fabrics. Don't have enough time to quilt as I have a new love interest in my Life, he is 105. Do I qualify to be a Cougar?????
Actually I am in 40's and am not a Cougar as the man in my life is in his 40's too.
I don't have enough time to quilt due to work.
WORK GETS IN THE WAY OF LIFE!!!
